Communications Engagement Officer (Children’s Services)
Location: Nottingham (2-3 days onsite). Employment type: Full-time, 37 hours per week. Contract period: 04/05/2026 – 31/07/2026.
This role involves connecting families, young people, and communities with vital support services through engaging communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver engaging communications to promote Families First services.
* Create accessible content across digital, print, and social media platforms.
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including schools, VCSE organisations, health services, police, and community groups.
* Coordinate and deliver community engagement activities such as events, workshops, and campaigns.
* Capture and amplify the voices of families and young people to inform service development.
* Support internal communications to ensure consistent messaging across teams.
* Monitor and evaluate engagement activities, using data and feedback to improve outcomes.
* Champion inclusive and culturally sensitive communication practices.
* Collaborate with service leads and partners to align messaging with programme objectives.
* Contribute to strategic planning and future outreach initiatives.

* Proven experience in communications, engagement, or community outreach roles.
* Strong content creation skills across multiple platforms.
* Experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders.
* Ability to build relationships and engage effectively with a wide range of audiences.
* Passion for improving outcomes for children, young people, and families.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
