About the Role
As a Bid Writer, you will play a vital role in securing new funding and driving growth across key areas such as the Adult Skills Fund (ASF), Skills Bootcamps, Employability contracts, Adult Learning, and Apprenticeships. You will be responsible for crafting persuasive, well-structured bids that meet strategic priorities and demonstrate the organisation’s ability to deliver outcome-driven programmes.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Researching, evaluating, and prioritising tender opportunities across Employability, Adult Skills, ASF, Bootcamps, AEB and DWP workstreams.

Producing high-quality, compelling bid responses aligned with funder specifications.

Collaborating with delivery, quality, and operational teams to gather evidence, case studies, and performance data.
*
Maintaining an up-to-date bid library and ensuring all submissions remain consistent, compliant, and competitive.
*
Reviewing outcomes, collecting feedback, and improving future bid performance through analysis and insight.
Ideal Candidate
You will be a strong fit for this Bid Writer position if you have:

Proven experience producing successful bids within Employability, Adult Skills, Skills Bootcamps, Adult Learning, or DWP-funded programmes.

A strong understanding of key funding streams such as ASF, AEB, Skills Bootcamps, Apprenticeships, and DWP contracts.

Excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work collaboratively across departments.

Exceptional writing, editing, and communication abilities with an eye for accuracy and clarity.
*
The ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritise effectively, and maintain a proactive, analytical approach.
