Support the Underwriters and Underwriting Director by:
1. Responding to email referrals & manage internal and external queries. This includes referral to Insurers where required.
2. Maintain the correct administration & filing for the Insurer & product files.
3. Responsible for in house referrals from the sales team.
4. Assist in the generation of scheme performance data using company systems.
5. Keep up to date with the company’s products and relevant external events that could affect underwriting decisions.
6. Make confident decisions in line with business rules and processes.
7. Be the first point of contact for the sales floor for underwriting queries.
8. Able to present risks to bespoke underwriters and agree terms.
9. Understand underwriting performance and have experience of monitoring insurer loss ratios.
10. To always present the company in a professional and confident manner.
11. Work closely with Operations in relation to Compliance matters.

Qualifications and experience:
1. Must have an understanding of bespoke/niche Motor Insurance.
2. Must be able to understand underwriting performance and have experience of monitoring insurer loss ratios.
3. Manage external relationships with insurers.
4. Be the first point of contact for the sales floor for underwriting queries.
5. Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of personal lines Motor insurance.
6. Must display an understanding of Motor insurance risks factors and be able to demonstrate this to a high level.
7. Must have experience of Motor insurance schemes.
