To succeed as a Restaurant Shift / Floor Manager, you should be a great leader and positive team player, with prior experience in the Restaurant & Customer Service sector within a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Shift/Floor Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager with responsibilities including:
Customer Service
* Lead by example, prioritizing customer needs.
* Ensure customer focus in all restaurant operations.
* Manage staff scheduling to meet customer demand.
* Support operational efficiency through regular store walks.
People
* Encourage staff suggestions and concerns.
* Provide performance feedback, set goals, and offer guidance.
* Create a positive team environment, treating all employees with dignity and respect.
* Handle performance management in collaboration with HR when necessary.
Driving Sales
* Understand sales patterns, popular products, and peak times.
* Ensure products are well merchandised and marketing campaigns are executed.
* Coach staff on upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
* Identify areas for improvement and motivate continuous enhancement through employee incentives.
Operations
* Monitor KPIs such as sales, employee turnover, food safety, and health & safety standards.
* Set an example by maintaining composure under pressure.
* Manage weekly stock orders and quality checks.
* Oversee equipment maintenance and calibration.
* Ensure optimal inventory levels.
* Handle opening and closing procedures.
* Maintain cleanliness, food hygiene, and overall operational standards.
* Implement and follow health and safety protocols, reporting incidents promptly.
* Be available to work various shifts as part of the management team.
Key Requisites
* Experience managing restaurants.
* Flexible, disciplined work approach.
* Food environment experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
* High standards of food hygiene and safety.
* Experience handling customer complaints.
* Adherence to health and safety procedures.
