An ambitious London-based local authority is seeking experienced Housing Officers to deliver a proactive, high-quality tenancy and neighbourhood management service across general needs and sheltered housing. You’ll manage your own patch, ensuring tenancies are sustained and neighbourhoods thrive. This is a hands-on role requiring someone with strong interpersonal skills, excellent housing law knowledge, and the confidence to take ownership of tenancy breaches, ASB cases, and tenancy sustainment. Key Responsibilities: Manage a patch of tenancies, ensuring compliance with tenancy and lease conditions Lead on ASB cases with a victim-centred approach Support vulnerable residents, linking them to local services Conduct tenancy audits and home visits Handle succession, mutual exchange, and tenancy changes Work closely with internal teams to minimise void rent loss Take enforcement action and represent the organisation at court or tribunal when required Requirements: Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in housing management Strong knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy management Excellent communication and decision-making skills Ability to work effectively with partners, contractors, and community groups Stable work history Key Details Rate: £22.86 PAYE / £29.08 Umbrella per hour Contract: 3 months (strong likelihood of extension) Location: Office-based – 5 days a week (no flex) This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected housing provider that’s committed to building safer, stronger neighbourhoods and empowering residents to thrive.
