Job Overview
We are seeking an ambitious planner to further their experience within Development Management and advance their career. This role is suitable for a recent graduate or someone already working in planning or a related field seeking additional experience. The successful candidate will join one of the two area teams, handling a variety of householder and smaller-scale planning applications.
Location and Environment
The role offers the opportunity to work within the picturesque Herefordshire countryside, as well as in Hereford city and its surrounding towns and villages. The county boasts rich biodiversity, landscape, and heritage, including two National Landscapes, Special Areas of Conservation, Conservation Areas, and listed buildings. It is an outstanding place to work, offering a supportive and collaborative team environment with flexible working options including from home, various offices, and the Plough Lane office.
Candidate Requirements
* Degree in Planning or a related field
* Eligible for future membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute
* Ability to travel around the county
* Support for further career development
