Receptionist vacancy at The Croft Surgery
We are looking for up to two receptionists to join our busy team, initially working as a receptionist/care navigator for up to 25 hours a week.
This could be an apprentice or a trainee position.
This position could suit a school leaver or someone older with more workplace experience who is interested in developing a career in a healthcare setting.
Previously, our staff have gone on to develop their careers and train as dispensers, nurses, GP assistants and to work in the hospital and community podiatry teams.
In the practice, you will be an important part of a small, busy and friendly team and for the right candidate there will be opportunities to develop roles in dispensing, business administration and patient care management – depending on aptitude and preferences.
For a candidate wanting an apprenticeship, we work with the team at Carlisle College.
The minimum educational requirements we ask for are a C grade (or equivalent) in GCSE English and Maths.
Essential qualities –
* the ability to communicate with patients in person and by telephone and to
* deal with enquiries in respectful manner and an
* awareness of the requirement for patient confidentiality at all times.
Candidates will need to be flexible; our working week is Monday-Friday and your hours will be set somewhere between 0745 and 1830.
All staff are expected to be available to help cover sickness and holiday leave for their colleagues. ( extra paid hours or TOIL as appropriate)
Hours and pay are negotiable depending on experience and availability – it could work as a job share arrangement.
