We are currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a hospital contract in Birmingham
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be working within plant rooms and on wards. This is a hands-on role in a critical environment, offering stability, variety, and career development.
What You’ll Do:
1. Maintain and repair mechanical and plumbing systems across site
2. Operate and monitor plant room equipment (boilers, pumps, HVAC)
3. Respond to breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime
4. Complete PPMs and ensure compliance with safety standards
5. Carry out minor plumbing repairs within communal areas and on the wards
6. Assist with TMV maintenance and repairs
7. Carry out water flushing and water treatment checks
What We’re Looking For:
8. Plant room experience (prefered)
9. Hospital Experience (beneficial)
10. Mechanical or plumbing qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
11. Reliable, proactive, and team-focused
12. Able to pass an enhanced DBS check
13. Secure, long-term role in healthcare
This is a temporary to permanent position
