Sea Freight Forwarder – Lichfield, Staffordshire (Hybrid)
We are actively looking to engage ocean & sea freight professionals with a passion for freight forwarding and shipping for a new role as a Sea Freight Forwarder working in Lichfield, on a hybrid basis (3x days per week in office).

Job Description
As a Sea Freight Forwarder, you will report to the Sea & Ocean Freight Manager on a daily basis and be responsible for the following:
* Manage sea/ocean freight import and export bookings, including pricing, quotations, end‑to‑end shipping and customs documentation.
* Prepare documents of operation and transport (booking, Bills of Lading, pre‑advices, loading confirmations).
* Nominating carriers, hauliers and shipping lines in line with rates, OTIF values and customer requirements across INCOTerms.
* Raise additional customs documentation (ISF, COO, clearance documents, etc.) to ensure freight moves between countries.
* Perform customer rate analysis and route guidance while monitoring and securing allocations and operational efficiency.
* Develop and build relationships to deliver a high level of customer service aligned with clients’ business requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have an extensive background in sea and ocean freight forwarding for both import and export. Desired skills and experience include:
* 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding in either sea or ocean freight.
* Experience with pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries across ocean & sea freight.
* Desirable experience in customs compliance.
* Excellent customer service experience.
* Knowledge of INCOTerms is advantageous.
* Commute to Lichfield, Staffordshire on a hybrid basis (3x days per week).
