Job Description
This is a site-based role supporting construction delivery within the Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC (MEH) scope of works. You’ll work alongside Construction Delivery Managers, ensuring safe, high-quality installation and progress within your assigned area. Relocation support may be available for those moving closer to Bridgwater.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor construction activities ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
* Maintain detailed site logs and expand issues through structured reporting processes
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project communication flow
* Support planning, sequencing, and delivery of construction programme milestones
* Conduct site inspections and assurance activities aligned with project performance indicators
* Lead and participate in site briefings, ensuring key messages are effectively delivered
* Organise contractor meetings, capturing outputs and tracking agreed actions
* Identify risks and implement temporary measures to maintain safe progress
* Assist in logistics coordination and collaboration with site-wide logistics teams
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
* SMSTS or IOSH qualification essential for site-based responsibilities
* Experience delivering construction projects within complex infrastructure environments
* Strong understanding of construction sequencing and recovery planning
* Ability to produce clear, concise, and informative technical reports
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
* Experience in high-security or regulated environments is advantageous
* Nuclear experience beneficial or large-scale civil project background
