Are you a passionate and skilled Healthcare Support Worker looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking an experienced HCSW who brings compassion, initiative, and strong clinical skills to the role. You’ll be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, playing a vital role in delivering outstanding care and making a real difference to patient outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
* Completion of the National Care Certificate
* Confident and competent in ECG recording, Venepuncture, and Cannulation
* Experience with Stroke Patients
* A team player with excellent communication and time management skills
You’ll need to be flexible and able to work a rotational shift pattern, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

This post is being advertised as a Band 3; however, applicants who do not meet the required care certificate competencies will initially be employed as a Band 2. Applicants holding a care certificate accreditation will start in post at Band 3.
We have a part-time HCSW position of 30 hours per week available on the Stroke Unit at Royal Bournemouth Hospital. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so we require you to be fully flexible across all shift patterns, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and bank holidays.
As part of the selection process, you will be required to complete a numeracy and literacy assessment alongside an interview.
