Our Head Office is based in Stockton-on-Tees and is home to our administrative support teams, engineering & maintenance support team & energy services teams. The Offices are located on the river Tees with close access to walks, shops and restaurants.
The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Pipeline and Mechanical Functional Lead.
The Pipeline and Mechanical Functional Lead will provide senior engineering support for all mechanical and pipeline engineering issues within px operations.
Pipeline engineering will include leadership for both onshore and offshore (subsea) pipelines, supporting both px operational assets, and future business projects.
The Mechanical engineering aspect is a broad field including, but not limited to, pressure containment, storage tanks, rotating equipment, civils and structures.
You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensures that the Group Operating Standard and SHE standards specified in the Company / Group procedures systems are adhered to by the site teams, and that safe working practices are adopted.
* Ownership of the groups Pipeline process and compliance to the practice.
* Provide support and guidance to Pipeline and Mechanical engineering discipline, to ensure engineering related risk to people, the environment, plant and the business is understood and managed systematically and effectively across px operations and projects.
* Ensures that all px operated onshore and offshore Pipelines are being managed and operated in relation to appropriate legislation and technical standards.
* Responsible for the development and communication of all corporate standards and technical guidance. in relation to onshore and offshore pipelines.
* Responsible for establishing and maintaining required group level discipline engineering practices, standards and processes, which will be incorporated within the Company Operating System.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum Requirements:
* A Degree or equivalent HND level qualification in Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering.
* Skills, knowledge, and experience in Mechanical and Pipeline Engineering.
* Extensive knowledge of relevant Pipeline legislation, standards, and codes.
* Broad knowledge of relevant Mechanical legislation, standards, and codes.
* Site based Pipeline / Mechanical experience and expertise.
* Relevant experience in maintaining and managing effective relationships with both internal and external personnel.
