What you will be doing You will play a vital role in supporting production through efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials, ensuring smooth operations within a safety-conscious environment. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will contribute to maintaining high standards and meeting customer requirements.
Accurately record goods information and report discrepancies promptly.
Prepare, complete, and deliver orders on time, liaising with couriers or using company vehicles.
Maintain effective stock control within the companys reporting system.
Raise Purchase Orders for secondary operations such as subcontracting.
Assist with internal and external customer support activities.
Keep work equipment, vehicles, and workstations clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Participate in training initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement.
Report hazards and near misses, championing health and safety policies.
What we are looking for The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, and has previous experience in a logistics or general operative role within an engineering or manufacturing setting. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Counterbalance and powered pallet truck certification is desirable.
Experience with ERP systems such as EFACS is advantageous.
Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Confident working independently and as part of a team.
