About the Role
Local Education is supporting a Further Education provider in the recruitment of an Interim Director of Quality to cover a short-term leadership requirement from January to February 2026.
This is a senior interim role focused on quality, teaching and learning, and would suit an experienced FE leader with a strong understanding of quality frameworks, inspection readiness and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership across quality, teaching and learning
* Support curriculum leaders and teaching staff to maintain and improve standards
* Monitor performance data and quality assurance processesPrepare and support the organisation in relation to inspection expectations
* Act as a senior professional lead during the interim period
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven senior leadership experience within Further Education
* Strong background in quality assurance, teaching and learning
* Confident operating at director or assistant principal level
* Able to step in quickly and provide stability and expertise
* Available from early January 2026
