The Role
The Cost Estimator will support the external sales engineer by producing proposals documents for enquiries he is bringing in. You will produce proposals for systems ranging from 5 K up to 500 K and could be working on several at speed; the business aims to provide proposals within 72 hours of receiving an enquiry.
Key Responsibilities
* Sizing equipment needed for the project, including filter, fans and motors.
* Establishing proposed costing for the equipment.
* Working out the ducting runs required for the system and proposed costs.
* Liaising with customers—ranging from shop floor to MD level—regarding proposals.
* Creating final written proposal for customers detailing the equipment required and proposed costs.

We are in partnership with a Leicester‑based engineering company looking to recruit a Cost Estimator. The company has a rich history dating back over half a century in fabricating bespoke engineering systems for manufacturing companies. Due to business growth, they are hiring for a Cost Estimator with immediate effect.
