Day-to-day of the role of an English Lecturer :
* Deliver engaging and informative lessons to GCSE students, ensuring content is accessible and stimulating.
* Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that meet curriculum standards.
* Assess and evaluate students progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
* Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their learning experience.
* Maintain up-to-date records of students grades, attendance, and overall progress.
* Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons effectively.
* Participate in departmental meetings and teacher training workshops to continually improve teaching strategies and techniques.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the role :
* A degree in English or a related subject.
* Recognised teaching qualification Cert Ed, PGCE, DET ect
* Proven experience as an English teacher at the GCSE level.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
* Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
