TXM is working with a global Rail company that is currently recruiting a Category Manager based in Crewe. Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced candidate to join their expanding team. As a Category Manager, youll: Leverage competitive advantage and drive best-in-class supplier performance. Develop and implement category strategies and supplier development plans. Lead contracting arrangements, including framework agreements and long-term contracts. Build and manage strong supplier relationships to ensure delivery of business objectives. Analyse and interpret complex data to support strategic decisions. Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders. Travel across the UK (and occasionally overseas) to support supplier engagement and projects. Essential skills & experience: Degree qualified and CIPS Level 5/6 (or equivalent). Minimum 4 years procurement experience in consumables/fasteners within a manufacturing or distributed product environment. This is a hybrid role with flexibility around the days in the office, but travelling will be a big part to play in this role.
