The Sales Lead serves as a key interface between customers and our engineering & production teams. You will be responsible for identifying client needs, providing technical guidance, preparing customised solutions, and managing the full sales cycle from initial inquiry through project award.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the technical liaison for customers across energy, offshore wind, oil & gas, and utility sectors.
* Understand and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements related to HV/HVDC/subsea cable systems.
* Support the sales team by developing technical proposals, cost estimates, and product configurations.
* Deliver product presentations, participate in bid clarification meetings, and support tender documentation.
* Work closely with R&D, engineering, and production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of proposed solutions.
* Maintain detailed knowledge of their portfolio, industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, DNV), and emerging technologies.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and technical support.
* Travel to customer sites, trade shows, and project locations as needed (domestic and international).
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
* 3–5 years experience in technical sales, application engineering, or project engineering — ideally within power transmission, subsea cables, or offshore energy.
* Familiarity with high-voltage cable design, HVDC/HVAC systems, or subsea/offshore EPC projects is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
* Strong technical acumen combined with commercial awareness.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and cable system layouts.
* Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or cable design software is a plus.
* Fluent in English; additional languages (Mandarin, Arabic, Dutch, etc.) are an asset depending on location.
