Overview
We have a vacancy for registered mental health nurses to join our team in Morar Ward, New Craigs Hospital. Morar Ward is a 22-bed adult acute admissions ward with two beds for Alcohol detox who provide care for patients in Highland. This post is suitable for third year nursing students qualifying in September. Morar Ward has a supportive and motivated team, offering the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
* You will undertake responsibility for coordinating shifts, assessing patients and developing plans of care.
* You will work with colleagues in the multidisciplinary team to identify risk behaviours, appropriate interventions and barriers to discharge from hospital.
* You will be part of a multidisciplinary team to improve patient experience through participation in quality improvement activities.
* Effective communication to enable coordination with the multidisciplinary team and other agencies involved in care delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC registration or equivalent).
* Open to newly qualified mental health nurses and third-year nursing students qualifying in September.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
