Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning and development? We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a range of welcoming and inclusive schools across the Penarth area.

Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Penarth and surrounding areas
Job Type: Full-time and part-time roles available (term time only)
Start Date: Ongoing opportunities

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the classroom, providing one-to-one and group support to pupils under the direction of the class teacher. Whether you’re assisting with literacy and numeracy interventions, helping children with additional learning needs, or simply offering encouragement and reassurance, your contribution will make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support teaching and learning activities in the classroom
2. Work with individual pupils or small groups
3. Assist with the preparation of resources and classroom materials
4. Promote positive behaviour and inclusion
5. Help monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers

What We’re Looking For:

6. Previous experience working with children (in schools or similar settings)
7. A positive, patient, and flexible attitude
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. A genuine interest in education and child development
10. Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
