Position Overview:

Join us as a Service Controller and lead a dynamic team of engineers dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences! Your role will be pivotal in optimizing resources to meet customer needs efficiently while upholding our high standards of service delivery.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:

* Lead the service engineering team by understanding and responding to customer requests, assessing and prioritizing their needs, and identifying actionable steps with agreed timelines. Ensure fleet availability through timely inspections, repairs, and maintenance (20%).
* Plan jobs to maximize engineer productivity and drive asset utilization by allocating the most suitable resources to meet customer needs (20%).
* Manage and control job progress at every stage, driving 5-star contamination control practices through audits and operational best practices (5%).
* Liaise effectively to ensure job resolution benefits both Finning Power Rental and our external customers (15%).
* Open and close work orders accurately to maximize billing accuracy and timeliness (5%).
* Identify opportunities for safety reworks and servicing/maintenance while keeping all systems updated with accurate job and fleet information (5%).
* Timely upload of internal drives with data (10%).
* Drive employee engagement in line with business targets, fostering a consistent approach through the team (10%).
* Implement procedural changes to maintain the highest standards of site, people, and equipment security. Promote safe practices through H&S adherence, including Toolbox Talks and incident reporting (10%).

Knowledge:

* Diesel generator product knowledge
* Understanding of engine/fuel control systems
* M3/INFOR system skills (training will be provided)
* Parts identification through SIS/manuals
* Parts ordering through part.cat.com
* Warranty process
* Commissioning process


Accountability:

* Keep internal and external customers informed of job progress, ensuring commitments are met.
* Maintain awareness of health, safety, and environmental requirements for safe and ISO-compliant operations.
* Maximize customer revenue for service.
* Control expenses for rental projects and manage all rental projects effectively.
* Communicate work schedules and issues to the service engineering team, yard technicians, and the wider team, agreeing on solutions.
