About the Role
Simply Education is recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEND school in Northwich, seeking a patient, resilient, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals from a variety of professional backgrounds who are looking to transition into education. Candidates with experience in residential childcare, social care, or sports coaching are particularly encouraged to apply.
The school offers a specialist, therapeutic environment for pupils with complex needs, including moderate learning difficulties and autism (ASD). This role provides the chance to make a genuine difference every day supporting students not only academically, but also in their social and emotional development.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping pupils achieve meaningful progress and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
* Support behaviour management using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies
* Provide emotional and sensory support to develop pupils' confidence and resilience
* Promote inclusion through adapted learning activities
* Work collaboratively with teachers and therapeutic staff
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for individuals who are either starting or continuing their career as a Teaching Assistant. xsngvjr
You will be:
* Experienced in schools, residential childcare, social care, or sports coaching
* In possession of a full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
* Patient, adaptable, and resilient, with an understanding of small-step progress
* Qualified in education or SEND (desirable but not essential)
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
