Pay Rate: £130 – £180 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a committed and resourceful Cover Teacher to work across schools in Filey, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the usual classroom teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in varied environments and can engage students effectively across a range of subjects.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across different subjects, manage classroom behaviour, and create a positive learning environment for all students. No subject specialism is required, but strong classroom management and communication skills are essential.

As a Cover Teacher, you will:
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons to secondary students across a variety of subjects.
* Supervise classes, ensuring students remain on task and engaged.
* Manage behaviour in line with school policies and procedures.
* Provide feedback to the appropriate staff on student progress and lesson outcomes.
* Build positive relationships with students to promote a respectful learning environment.
* Adapt quickly to different classroom settings and school routines.
Requirements for Cover Teacher:
* Previous experience working in a school environment (preferred).
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
* Confidence in leading whole-class learning across Key Stages.
* Ability to work flexibly and respond calmly in new situations.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
