Cumbria Health are looking for a Project Manager to support to the launch of the NHS Work Well Service in North Cumbria, as part of the Health and Growth Accelerator Programme.
Thepost holder will be responsible for providing dedicated project managementsupport to the launch of the NHS Work Well Service in North Cumbria, aspart of the Health and Growth AcceleratorProgramme. This nationalinitiative is designed to work with individuals who are at risk of leavingemployment due to health conditions, with the aim of enabling them to remain inor return to work through targeted support and intervention.
NorthEast and North Cumbria (NENC) Integrated Care Board (ICB) is one of three ICBsselected to develop new pathways to support this cohort. The service in NorthCumbria scheduled to launch on 1 October 2025.
The post holder will be required to work the following:
* 2 days per week at ICB
* 2 days per week at Cumbria Health

Main duties of the job
Thisfixed-term role (6 months) will focus on ensuring all elements required for asuccessful launch are in place, including service design finalisation,stakeholder engagement, governance arrangements, risk and issue management, andoperational readiness. The postholder will also work on the wider Health andGrowth Accelerator Programme to ensure alignment between the NENC ICBregional team and the locally developed model, supporting a coherent andintegrated approach.
Thepostholder will work closely with programme partners, clinical and operationalteams, employers, and service user representatives to coordinate activities andensure the service is delivered to plan, within budget, and to agreed qualitystandards. They will be expected to operate within the framework oforganisational policies and national guidance, using professional judgement todeliver complex, time-critical outputs with minimal supervision.

Job responsibilities

1.Lead the full project lifecycle from initiationto closure, delivering within agreed scope, time, cost, and quality standardsin line with NHS frameworks and governance.
2.Develop, monitor, and adapt project plans,milestones, deliverables, objectives, success criteria, and KPIs, ensuringmilestones are achieved and dependencies managed.

8.Identify, assess, mitigate, and escalate risks,issues, and interdependencies in line with governance procedures.
9.Manage project budgets and resources, monitoringspend, ensuring value for money, forecasting, securing, and allocatingresources effectively.
10.Lead and manage project team members, includingmatrix management and line management where required; allocate work, setobjectives, monitor performance, conduct appraisals, and support training anddevelopment.
