Offer description

You will be required to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to provide specialist assessment, treatment and care to a caseload of people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties from within the local community.
The successful candidate will be required to provide care to service users within the legal frameworks of the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010, the Social Services and Well- Being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Mental Health Act (1983)
You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible in approach, able to work autonomously as well as with statutory and non- statutory service providers.
Effective communication and engagement skills are fundamental to this role, as well as a current evidence-based knowledge and a commitment to working with individuals adopting a recovery approach and a commitment to working within a trauma informed model of care.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Community Mental Health Practitioner position at the CMHT in Llandrindod. We have recently moved to the newly refurbished "Richardson Mental Health Wellbeing Centre", which benefits from sharing the site with colleges from CAMHS, perinatal services, older adult services, psychology and primary care. This move is part of the wider service development agenda for community mental services, which Powys is pushing forward with., Being the smallest Heath Board in Wales means that you won't get lost in the crowd.
