Overview
Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in our Bakery section. We’re seeking passionate individuals with a love for baking and a deep understanding of bakery products to deliver fresh perspectives every day. This job role involves working with specialist cutting equipment and this means we can’t consider applications from anyone under the age of 18. This is to comply with the relevant health and safety legislation and to keep our colleagues safe in the workplace.
You'll be a brand ambassador who’s ready to recommend our delicious bakery products. Through remarkable service you'll make sure our customers feel truly valued every time they shop with us.
Responsibilities
* Serve our customers efficiently, both on the shop floor and at service points.
* Keep the store clean and tidy, ensuring that shelves are always stocked with product.
* Monitor and deliver on daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunities.
* Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations and deliver remarkable service throughout their visit to store.
* Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services.
* Utilise digital tools and communication channels as part of delivering for the customer.
