Supply/Quality Engineer
Summary
Reporting to the Quality Manager the Quality Engineer is responsible for identifying opportunities for improving all Quality aspects of Business systems and production related activities. Investigating its customer returns and identifying business wide systemic opportunities for improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities
·Manage and Dealing with supplier quality issues by liaising closely with internal departments, suppliers’ and third parties.
Initiate Supplier Corrective Actions Requests (SCAR’s) and review corrective actions, understanding root cause; implement effective corrective action using tools such as 8D or 5Y.
· Drive and manage the RCA (Root Cause Activity) activity internally
· Management of the below activities across the Value Stream(s) including:
* Non-conformance system completion
* MRB (Material Review Boards) meetings
* Perform Internal/External Audits to ensure conformance of Documentation, Products, Processes.
* Review, Completion & Verification of First Article Inspection
· Undertake failure analysis on returned product, generating data and analysis that directly contributes to the accurate preparation of 8D reporting, corrective action and root cause analysis for improvement.
· Analyse internal production process failures, working closely with production
Qualifications
NC/BTEC in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience in a quality control role
Experience
Experience of working in an ISO9001 environment and working knowledge of AS9100
Experience of using electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies and multimeters is an advantage
Experience of reading and understanding detailed drawings is essential.
Qualified Internal Auditor preferred
Previous experience of a SharePoint IT system and IFS or a similar ERP system is a benefit

Skilled in the use of MS Office (Word / Excel / Outlook)
Numeric and computer literate
Self-motivated to finish tasks in a timely manner
Experience in Inspection
Excellent Communication skills
