Clerk of Works / NEC Supervisor Job in Nottingham. Role & Responsibilities
1. Represent clients on site, acting as their eyes and ears throughout project delivery
2. Undertake regular site inspections and produce detailed weekly or fortnightly reports
3. Review drawings, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance with project requirements
4. Identify, raise and monitor defects through to successful resolution
5. Monitor progress against contract programmes and report on project status
6. Highlight health and safety concerns and ensure issues are addressed by site management teams
7. Attend site meetings and communicate effectively with contractors, consultants and clients
8. Support NEC Supervisor duties where required across a range of projects
Required Skills & Experience
9. Experience working as a Clerk of Works, Site Inspector, Site Manager or similar construction-related position
10. Strong understanding of construction methods, technical detailing and Building Regulations
11. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract programmes
12. Knowledge of site health and safety requirements and best practice
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong reporting ability
14. Experience across new build, refurbishment and fit-out projects
15. Membership of ICWCI desirable but not essential
16. NEC Supervisor experience or accreditation advantageous
17. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload effectively
18. Full UK driving licence
