Job Summary:
Risdons Solicitors are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Probate Solicitor to join our reputable Taunton branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of probate matters, including estate administration, inheritance tax issues, and advising clients on wills and estate planning. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with strong technical knowledge and client care skills to join a supportive and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a varied caseload of probate and estate administration matters from start to finish
Provide expert legal advice on wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, inheritance tax, and intestacy
Draft and review legal documents including wills and trust deeds
Liaise with executors, beneficiaries, HMRC, and other relevant stakeholders
Prepare applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and SRA regulations
Maintain high standards of client care and build long-lasting client relationships
Contribute to business development and networking initiatives as required
Qualifications / Experience:
Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales (3+ years PQE preferred, but newly qualified candidates with relevant experience may be considered)
Proven experience in probate and estate administration
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
Proficient in using case management systems and Microsoft Office
STEP qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
