The Propeller Inn is a vibrant, family-run freehouse located on the edge of Bembridge Airfield. Since reopening in 2021, we've built a reputation for serving some of the finest pub food on the island—fresh, locally sourced, and full of flavour.
We’re now looking for a talented Head Chef to lead our busy kitchen and take our food offering to new heights.
Responsibilities
* Overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, from prep to service
* Designing seasonal menus and daily specials using local produce
* Managing stock, suppliers, and food safety compliance
* Leading and motivating a small, dedicated kitchen team
* Maintaining high standards of presentation, hygiene, and consistency
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
* Passion for fresh, honest pub food and creative menu development
* Strong leadership and organisational skills
* Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen best practice
* Calm under pressure, with a hands-on approach
