Overview
Technical Sales Specialist: Scotland: Industrial Electrical Control and Automation. The role involves selling industrial automation products and solutions (PLC, Control Gear, Drives, Sensors, HMI, Process Instrumentation and Ex equipment) to OEMs, End Users, System Integrators and Panel Builders across Scotland. This is a field-based role with 1 to 2 days either home office or company office.
Responsibilities
* Sell a range of high-quality Industrial Automation products and solutions to a defined customer base, including OEMs, End Users, System Integrators and Panel Builders, across Scotland.
* Develop and manage a portfolio of accounts; achieve defined sales targets and develop a personal plan to reach objectives.
* Identify new business opportunities and continuously pursue growth channels.
* Visit customer sites, present solutions, negotiate and close deals.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and market trends; effectively use Microsoft packages and tools.
Qualifications
* Sales and technical experience in the Industrial Automation industry with a proven track record of sales success.
* Formal qualification in Electrical/Electronic discipline to ONC/HND or above is desirable but not essential; ability to demonstrate knowledge and sales ability is required.
* Strong communication, organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously within a team environment.
Location & Schedule
Central belt Scotland (Glasgow-Edinburgh corridor) preferred; field-based with travel; Monday to Friday around normal office hours with flexibility to meet business needs.
