Job Title: Recovery Worker – Substance Misuse Service

Pay Rate: Up to £23 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Type: Full time role, 2-3 Month contract
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Recovery Worker to join a specialist Substance Misuse Service. The successful candidate will support individuals affected by drug and/or alcohol misuse, helping them progress through treatment and recovery-focused interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of service users with substance misuse needs
Complete comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and recovery plans
Deliver structured one-to-one interventions and harm reduction advice
Support service users with relapse prevention, engagement, and recovery goals
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
Maintain accurate, timely case records in line with service requirementsEssential Requirements:
Proven experience working within the substance misuse sector
Strong understanding of drug and alcohol treatment pathways
Experience in care planning, risk management, and recovery-focused work
Excellent communication and engagement skills
Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseloadDesirable:
Relevant qualification (e.g. Health & Social Care, Addiction Studies, or similar)
Experience working with complex needs (mental health, homelessness, offending history)What’s on Offer:
