Client-Facing BDR Role Location: West Midlands Salary: £30,000 basic £12,000 commission Flourish are partnering with an innovative and growing technology business in the West Midlands to recruit for a Client-Facing BDR role. The business is open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, so direct industry experience is not essential. What matters most is confidence, strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to build relationships. The Opportunity As part of the sales team, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities across your territory by meeting prospective clients face to face, understanding their needs, and introducing tailored technology-led solutions. This role offers hands-on exposure to the early stages of the sales cycle and would suit someone who is motivated, outgoing, and keen to develop within a commercial role. Key Responsibilities Identify and approach potential customers through face-to-face visits, networking, and local market research Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs and challenges Generate and qualify new business opportunities for the wider sales team Manage your own territory effectively, planning visits and activity to maximise coverage Represent the business professionally in the field Keep CRM records up to date and accurately track activity Gather local market insight and competitor information to support sales strategy About You Confident, personable, and comfortable speaking with new people Strong communication and relationship-building skills Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working towards goals Keen to build a long-term career in sales Interested in technology, business development, and client-facing work Full UK driving licence required Previous business development experience can be helpful, but candidates with strong customer-facing experience and the right attitude will also be considered. Candidates from backgrounds such as retail, hospitality, events, recruitment, property, fundraising, or field sales are encouraged to apply.
