* A background in technical sales (construction, engineering, industrial type sales) is essential for understanding the technical sales cycle.

* You will have strong CRM skills (ideally in HubSpot or Salesforce) and bring ideas to make sales ops more efficient.

The Role of Technical Sales Manager
This is a relatively autonomous role reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director. While the Directors set the vision, you are the one who implements it and makes the role your own. You will manage a small team of internal sales executives and sales operations support staff in the UK and Europe. Responsibilities include:
* Coaching and mentoring your team to hit aggressive growth targets
* Managing a high‑tech stack including HubSpot and AI‑integrated telephony.
* Working with the Marketing Manager on lead generation, socials, and website strategy.
* Acting as a key member of the leadership team.
As a Person – What is Needed
* We need a "social chameleon", i.e. someone who can build relationships with architects and engineers one minute and present to the board the next.
* You must be comfortable "working in the grey," meaning you're happy to step outside your job description to get the job done.
