This is an opportunity to join an Academic Support Officer team at a leading secondary school in Barnet, London, with an ASAP start. Responsibilities
* You will be the second point of contact after Form Tutors for students and parents, particularly in relation to day-to-day operations of the academy Behaviour Management Policy, supporting students and families equitably.
* Prioritise issues arising from contacts with students and parents to minimise disruption to learning and ensure issues are dealt with efficiently and fairly.
* Support personal, social and academic development of students and promote their well-being within each Key Stage.
* Assist in maintaining links with home, and with internal and external support services involved with student welfare and safety.
Role details
* Role: Academic Support Officer
* Salary: £110-£120 per day
* Start: September 2025
* Hours: Monday – Friday, School Hours – No weekends

* Additional duties: Support teachers covering lessons where necessary

Person specification
* Degree or professional qualification
* Good written and oral skills
* Ideally previous experience within the role, but not essential
* Knowledge of career paths and/or higher education; willingness to learn more
* Ability to motivate and inspire the younger generation
