Facilities Operations Manager (4 Month Fixed Term Contract)

We have a fantastic opening for a fixed term Facilities Operations Manager to join our Arenas Team.
Arenas
You will be working across two of the UKs top 10 arenas which hold over 200 events and welcome 1.5 million fans every year. Based in Birmingham City Centre and on the NEC Campus in Solihull, you will be part of a team that welcomes people to a wide variety of events, from concerts and comedy to sporting and family events, no two days are ever the same!
About The Role
This is a dynamic and multi-functional role designed to strengthen the resilience of the Operations Team through strong FM experiences and skills relevant to Arena environment. It encompasses both operational and administrative responsibilities and includes the proactive and reactive deputising for the Heads of Facilities when necessary.
Day to day you will:
1. Monitor non-event cleaning/security operations, service KPIs, reactive jobs, and venue aesthetics; manage access processes and backstage/front of house experiences.
2. Assist with small works and capital projects, oversee venue audits, ensure safety and sustainability initiatives, and maintain accessibility standards.
3. Liaise with internal teams, service providers, and tenants; attend meetings to review service delivery, compliance, and customer journey improvements.
4. Review duty and Event Safety Reports following event completions and action accordingly.
5. Manage Arenas access process and assist with Daily Sheet entries for both Venues.
6. Carry out building inspection/walkabouts for auditing and continual improvement of customer experiences.
7. Monitor and maintain the aesthetics of each Venue throughout the deep cleans and maintenance levels.
8. Liaise with Facilities Co-Ordinator, assist and debutise when required.
About You
Our Ideal Candidate will:
9. Strong knowledge in FM Management and practices to ensure continual operation of Arenas.
10. Understands fire, emergency, evacuation, and safety operating procedures in an FM environment.
11. Strong multitasking and prioritisation abilities, with basic logistics/technical knowledge and attention to detail.
12. Excellent customer service and relationship management skills, with a strong client service ethic.
13. Builds productive relationships across teams and is proficient in Windows/Office 365.
14. Ability to work under pressure.
15. Adaptable to constantly changing and growing business environment.
