This includes:
Creating a safe, predictable and structured environment where pupils feel secure and able to participate at their own pace
Using physical activity as a tool to support emotional regulation, helping pupils to manage anxiety, frustration and heightened states
Adapting activities to reduce overwhelm, including:

Avoiding practices that may trigger shame or distress (e.g. public comparison, forced participation)
Celebrating effort, participation and small successes to build confidence and resilience
Working closely with teaching and therapy staff to ensure PE sessions align with each pupil’s individual regulation and therapeutic strategies
Core Duties
