Brook Street is recruiting a Registered Children's Manager in Swansea. The role is essential in maintaining high standards of care, driven by a dedicated and compassionate individual passionate about their responsibilities. You will ensure children receive the support they need to thrive. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in medication administration, care planning, and a background in nursing.
Duties
* Oversee and manage the daily operations of the children's care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
* Create, implement, and assess personalised care plans for each child, supporting their physical, emotional, and social development.
* Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate records.
* Lead and support a team of care staff, providing guidance, training, and encouragement to uphold high standards of care.
* Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children, encouraging their participation in activities that promote personal growth.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to coordinate care.
* Monitor children's well-being continuously and address concerns promptly with appropriate actions.
Qualifications
* QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it) with relevant sector experience.
* Experience in administering medication in a care or nursing home setting.
* Deep knowledge of assisted living principles, especially in children's care.
* Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work culture.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with empathetic engagement with children, families, and staff.
* Experience in creating and implementing personalised care plans based on individual needs is highly desirable.
