This role sits at the heart of solution delivery, providing structured business analysis, requirements derivation and process modelling across both digital and non-digital elements of the service. You will work within a complex, highly regulated public sector environment, collaborating with multiple partners, subcontractors and Ministry of Defence stakeholders. Reporting to the Solution Implementation Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the AFRS solution meets its contractual and operational commitments, including delivery against the Statement of Requirements (SOR), while supporting readiness for launch and long-term service effectiveness. Some of your responsibilities include: Leading structured discovery and solution analysis to derive, validate and manage requirements across the AFRS programme. Working closely with subject matter experts to capture, model and improve end-to-end recruitment processes across both digital and non-digital elements of the service. Planning, designing and facilitating workshops to shape requirements, processes and solution options. Acting as a credible interface between delivery teams, partners and MoD stakeholders, influencing decisions and constructively challenging where needed. Supporting solution delivery, readiness and assurance activity, ensuring outcomes remain aligned to the Statement of Requirements. Contribute to readiness-to-launch activity, including alignment with MoD Organisational Development Team (ODT) analysis. This role suits a self-starting Solution Analyst who is comfortable operating with autonomy in a secure, complex public sector environment. Essential experience and skills: Proven experience in a Solution Analyst or Business Analyst role. Strong experience deriving, managing and validating requirements in complex delivery environments. Hands-on experience with business process modelling, working directly with SMEs. Experience planning and running structured workshops and discovery sessions. Confidence engaging, influencing and challenging a wide range of stakeholders. Experience working in regulated, secure or complex public sector environments (defence, government or similar). Ability to work across non-digital as well as digital aspects of service delivery. Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills. Desirable experience: Working knowledge of TOGAF and/or MODAF. Experience using requirements management tools (e.g. Cradle). Experience supporting hybrid delivery models combining structured governance with Agile practices. Exposure to large-scale outsourced service delivery or recruitment process outsourcing (RPO). Why join AFRS? AFRS is a critical national defence programme bringing together recruitment for all three-Armed Services. Joining AFRS means working in a complex, regulated environment where your analysis directly shapes how the service is delivered.
