About the vacancy

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Driver Debrief Clerk to join our busy Transport team in Corby. This role is essential to ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly, safely, and in full compliance with regulatory standards.

As the link between drivers and the wider transport operation, you will conduct pre- and post-shift briefings, verify documentation, and maintain accurate records to support operational excellence. You will help to ensure drivers are fully briefed on routes, safety requirements, and customer expectations, while capturing any operational issues for follow-up.

Your work will directly contribute to maintaining service quality, ensuring legal compliance, and upholding our reputation for reliable, customer-focused transport services.

Location: Corby.
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off, 18:30 – 06:30.
Salary: £28,000.00 (depending on skills and experience).

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct end-of-shift debriefs with drivers, recording incidents, delays, and route completion.
* Brief drivers before shifts, including route details, schedules, safety protocols, and customer requirements.
* Verify driver licences and compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
* Accurately process delivery notes, proof of delivery documents, and related transport paperwork within set deadlines.
* Record and escalate driver absence trends where required.
* Monitor, log, and track non-conformance issues for resolution.
* Liaise with the transport planning team to address operational issues in real time.
* Support customer service where needed, maintaining professional and helpful communication.
* Maintain secure handling and storage of all documents and sensitive information.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in transport administration, logistics, or customer service support
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
* High level of integrity and accountability
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills
* Further qualification in logistics or transport administration (desirable).
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems (desirable).
