Our client is a leading supplier within the hosiery, underwear and loungewear markets. They are currently recruiting a Sock Designer to join their team in Leicester. They are looking for a candidate that is confident and who can attend and present at customer meetings, able to build great relationships with the buyers, can work in a busy, fast paced environment, a commercial eye and awareness of current trends. Previous sock, nightwear or soft accessory experience will be considered.
Sock Designer - The Role:
* Compile trend and competitor research from shopping trips (UK and overseas), trend predictions, catwalks and editorials
* Working closely with product development teams
* Completing spec sheets and design packs
* Attend development meetings and bring product ideas
* Working with the senior designer to produce CADs, presentation boards and detailed tech packs
* Update and move on bestselling pieces
* Meet key dates and work within the critical path
Sock Designer - The Candidate:
* You will have experience in industry across socks, nightwear or accessories
* You will have a creative and commercial portfolio
* Ability to work to deadlines and take direction
* Excellent presentation skills and confidence when dealing with customers
* Excellent CAD skills, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
