We're now looking for a Head Housekeeper to join our fantastic team. This is a Fixed Term, Maternity Cover position for 29 Hours per week, including alternate weekends. If you're a natural organiser with an eye for detail and a passion for leading others, this could be the perfect opportunity to shine.
What You'll Be Doing Day to Day
1. Taking the lead – overseeing and directing all housekeeping operations across the home, including residents' rooms, public areas, laundry, staff facilities and back-of-house spaces.
2. Creating a great first impression – ensuring that residents, families and visitors experience a clean, welcoming and well-maintained home environment every time.
3. Inspiring your team – leading, supporting and motivating housekeeping staff to deliver consistently high standards of hygiene and service.
4. Maintaining safety and compliance – observing safe hygienic practices and ensuring all work meets health, safety and infection control guidelines.
5. Working collaboratively – liaising with colleagues across departments to ensure the home runs smoothly and residents' needs are always met.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on leader who takes pride in creating a clean, organised and welcoming environment. You'll have:
6. Previous experience in a domestic, housekeeping or similar supervisory role.
7. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest hygiene standards.
8. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support your team.
9. A positive, proactive approach, and the ability to work well under pressure.
10. A caring, compassionate nature and a genuine desire to make a difference in residents' lives.
