Chef Manager - Bowerhill Primary School - Melksham
CATERLINK UK LTD is seeking a Chef Manager to provide nutritionally balanced and tasty food for pupils and staff at Bowerhill Primary School. The role is term-time only with no weekend work.
Overview
Role: Chef Manager at Bowerhill Primary School, Melksham. Term-time only (38 weeks per year) with 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary: £13.50 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
* Ensure the location meets statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislation and procedures
* Maintain Caterlink’s reputation for excellent food and service, exceeding client and customer expectations
* Manage day-to-day operations of the site, including supervising teams, inventories, budgets, and action plans
* Act as the main point of contact for the client in the school, implementing regular adjustments and improvements
* Regularly communicate with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets
* Support and train team members, lead from the front, ensure training is completed and performance is managed
Requirements / Qualifications (as implied by responsibilities)
* Experience in catering management or supervising foodservice teams
* Knowledge of Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental regulations and procedures
* Ability to manage budgets, inventories and drive improvements in service and food quality
* Strong communication skills to liaise with the client and internal management
