ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll ensure a clean and well-maintained environment so residents and staff feel at home and can perform their roles effectively. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support.
You can expect variety in your role as Head of Maintenance. You'll handle tasks within the care home building, gardens, and grounds. This could involve fixing a leaky tap or planting bulbs. You should be comfortable working independently, leading a team, and supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning. You'll also liaise with contractors for jobs outside your team's expertise.
ABOUT YOU
The wellbeing of our residents and staff will be your priority. With hands-on property maintenance experience, you'll have at least one trade skill and a proven ability to undertake diverse maintenance tasks. Reliability and flexibility regarding working hours are essential. A full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are required.
