About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering critical works for major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams support Hinkley Point C (a new build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), develop SMR (Small Modular Reactor) technologies, and work towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
The Construction Delivery Group is part of a fully integrated Site Construction Directorate, aiming to facilitate planning and delivery of the HPC Project as Principal Contractor, meeting safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
The NNB ambition is to build two major EPR nuclear plants. The Construction Delivery Lead (CDL) will be part of the HPC Site Construction Team and must have experience in delivering large, complex projects within strict constraints.
The CDL is responsible for managing a designated section of the Works, mainly in the Nuclear Island (NI) of Units 1 & 2, divided into N1, N2, and N3 areas. These areas may change to enable an agile approach to project duties.
The CDL will work closely with a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) led by a Senior Project Manager. Responsibilities include overseeing construction activities, surveillance, logistics, planning, reporting, client liaison, and staff management.
* Manage and develop Construction Delivery Managers, ensuring they understand site activities, receive appropriate training, and carry out their roles effectively.

* Organize and lead weekly planning meetings (PLOWs) to coordinate activities and escalate issues.
* Plan site setup, construction sequencing, recovery, and resource allocation strategically.
* Understand commercial principles affecting construction.
* Produce clear, concise reports.
* Motivate and energize team members by building trust and understanding.
* Have extensive experience in delivering large, complex projects.
* Hold a relevant degree in Civil Construction or equivalent.
* Understand obligations under CDM Regulations.
* Possess NEBOSH, SMSTS, or IOSH qualifications.
