A rapidly growing manufacturing firm near Oxford is looking for a hands-on Composites Finishing Team Leader to work in production. The successful candidate will lead and motivate a 10-person team in delivering exceptional finishing work on high-end products, ensuring every detail exceeds client expectations. Oversee all aspects of the process, manage team performance and offline metrics, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimise workflow and efficiency. Responsibilities: Manage and motivate a 10-person team of manufacturing specialists, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting open communication and problem-solving. Oversee all stages of the final process, from material procurement to final inspection, ensuring adherence to quality standards and deadlines. Manage inventory levels and prioritise tasks to meet production deadlines. Participate in project planning meetings, providing insights and recommendations from the team perspective. Generate and present reports to management, highlighting areas for improvement and demonstrating team progress. Track and analyse offline production data, identifying areas for improvement and cost optimisation. Implement data-driven initiatives to enhance team efficiency and project profitability. Reports to Composite Manager but will partner closely with Logistics and other stakeholder managers to ensure smooth material flow and project alignment. Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, and cost. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in composite finishing preferably with leadership responsibilities. proven experience leading and motivating production teams in a marine or similar environment. Strong understanding of marine construction and finishing processes would be of advantage, however automotive background or similar roles would be considered. Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with effective communication skills. A collaborative and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Due to the location you need to have your own transport, they are close to Oxford, Abingdon & Wallingford. Hours are Monday - Friday 7.00am - 3.00pm, salary £35k - £40k, Bupa Healthcare, contribution pension and free parking
