T08 Ward is looking for a highly motivated Band 7 Ward Sister or Charge Nurse who is enthusiastic about Nursing leadership, Infectious Diseases, and Respiratory medicine.
We are looking for a leader with relevant experience to support and manage our team to contribute to providing the best care for our patients in a fast-paced inpatient ward. Applicants need to be strong communicators and demonstrate an ability to deliver and lead excellent patient care, strive to improve practice at every opportunity and support the nursing team as well as educate and develop others. You will be expected to be able to work well autonomously and within a diverse and creative team.
Main duties of the job
Budget holding responsibilities are an important aspect of leading a department, you will need to engage with the wider management team to deliver financial targets
As the Nursing lead for the department, in conjunction with the Matron you will have oversight of all incidents occurring in your area as well as leading investigations following a PSIRF model of incident management.
This role will provide you with an excellent scope and support for furthering your clinical skills and knowledge, as well as preparing you for further roles in nursing leadership. There will be opportunities to develop your presentation skills and widen exposure to the larger organisational structures within UCLH.
