My client, an independent school in East Sussex is now looking to recruit a full time School Business Manager.
This is a significant post within the school, which carries with it responsibility for the non-teaching side, managing the day-to-day finance, administration, premises and HR requirements. Supported by a central team within the Trust and with the on-site assistance of a small support team, youll work closely with the Headteacher to ensure the best use of resources and ensure the school obligations are met.
Responsibilities will include:
Oversee the financial management of the school, including budget planning, monitoring, and reporting.
Manage all aspects of the school's administrative and support functions, ensuring smooth operations on a day-to-day basis.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
Lead and manage a team of administrative staff, providing guidance and support as required.
Develop and implement efficient administrative systems and processes to enhance the effectiveness of the school's operations.
Work closely with the leadership team to contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Collaborate with external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and local authorities, to ensure effective procurement and contract management.
Oversee the management of the school's premises and facilities.
