As a Lettings Negotiator, you'll guide our most vulnerable customers through finding a home - from those fleeing domestic violence to families facing homelessness. Working across your own geographical patch, you'll manage the complete lettings process from property availability through to successful tenancy. What you'll be doing Managing property allocations from local authority shortlists to ensure swift lettings Conducting income assessments, bank statement reviews and right to rent checks Completing property viewings and explaining tenancy agreements clearly Working with support workers from partner agencies when customers need additional help Managing multiple customers simultaneously, juggling many priorities Achieving lettings within 3 working days of ready-to-let date Completing tenancy documentation and maintaining accurate records What you'll get in return Beyond a competitive salary of £36,512 and the chance to change lives every day, you'll get: £900 annual essential car user allowance 26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 days after 3 years Your birthday off as an extra holiday Up to 10% matched pension contribution Hybrid working (mix of office and property visits) Flexible benefits which might include a Health Cash Plan Access to an Employee Assistance Programme for your wellbeing More about you We're looking for someone with genuine empathy who can support people through challenging circumstances while maintaining professional boundaries. You'll need resilience as customers may be emotional or scared, and you'll help them with patience and understanding. Essential: Customer-facing experience with proven ability to show empathy while maintaining professional boundaries Excellent communication skills and confidence with diverse audiences Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities at pace Resilience and emotional intelligence for challenging conversations Basic numeracy skills (GCSE Grade C or equivalent) for income calculations IT skills including Excel and ability to learn new systems Attention to detail for accurate documentation Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for property visits Team player willing to support colleagues when needed You'll work across Bath and surrounding areas with comprehensive training and a dedicated buddy to support you from day one.
