Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: 9 month fixed term / Secondment (Maternity leave cover)
BASE: Our successful candidate can be based at either York or Scarborough site - to be discussed at interview. Please note cross site working will be required.
We will support you to develop skills across many areas of acute inpatient work across the medical and surgical care groups.
The ability to transport yourself and equipment across the locality during the course of a normal working day is required for this vacancy.
Responsibilities
* Provide oral nutrition support to acute inpatient patients.
* Develop and deliver enteral tube feeding and parenteral nutrition in critical and surgical settings.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including dietitians, support workers and assistant practitioners across General Medicine, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Care of the Elderly, Stroke and Renal disease.
* Support peer learning, clinical supervision and training of dietetic students on the three clinical placements.
* Deliver rolling training programmes for other healthcare professionals across the Trust relating to nutritional care.
